dc.description.abstract | This research project was meant to explore the effects of internal audit functions on the performance of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) in Embu County, Kenya. The study was mainly focused on assessing the role of internal audit functions in the performance of SACCOs and it adopted a qualitative research design to collect data from the SACCOs in Embu County. The study used interviews, focus group discussions and document analysis to collect the data. The collected data was then analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings of the study may be used to provide insights into the effects of internal audit functions on the performance of SACCOs in Embu County. The findings may also be used to generate recommendations and guidelines to improve internal audit functions in the SACCOs in Embu County. This research project is expected to provide valuable insights into the effects of internal audit functions on the performance of SACCOs in Embu County, Kenya. | en_US |
